HH The Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani tiurns 38 today.

Sheikh Tamim, who was born on June 3, 1980, is the eighth Emir of Qatar and rose to the throne when HH The Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani abdicated his throne on June 25, 2013.

A student of Great Britain's Sherborne School and later the Sandhurst Royal Military Academy, he has been a just king.

A wise leader, he has been leading the country from the front ever since four Arab nations began an illegal blockade of Qatar last June.

He enjoys deep rooted love and support from both his country men and expats alike.
