Visit Qatar Concludes Garden Souq in Singapore, Welcoming More Than 1700 Visitors

Visit Qatar successfully concluded "The Garden Souq by Visit Qatar", held from 7 to 9 October during race week in Singapore, with the aim of introducing visitors to authentic Qatari culture and traditional handicrafts.

Visit Qatar said in a statement on 9 October that the event attracted more than 1,700 visitors and was organised as part of its partnership with Audi Revolut F1® Team, for which it serves as Principal Partner.

The interactive experience gave local and international visitors attending the race the opportunity to discover authentic Qatari culture, local cuisine and traditional handicrafts through a modern and innovative design reflecting the character of traditional souqs.

Audi Revolut F1® Team drivers Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto visited the event, where they enjoyed Qatari cuisine and explored the various activities on offer.

Over three days, visitors enjoyed Arabic coffee and dates accompanied by live oud music and sampled local dishes at Flavours of Qatar.

Visitors received leather items that they personalised at The Artisan's Workshop, decorated caps with heritage-inspired patches at The Doha Stamp and created their own distinctive perfumes at Scents of Qatar.

Visit Qatar confirmed that The Garden Souq by Visit Qatar formed part of its international partnership strategy, which aims to leverage the broad reach of major sporting events to showcase the State of Qatar's rich cultural identity, strengthen its prominent tourism standing and attract new groups of visitors.
