Qatar Fuel Company (Woqod) has been on an expansion spree in recent times.
It has continued to open newer petrol stations in the country in quick succession, and the trend looks set to continue.
Just the other day, Woqod opened its 80th fuel station in the country, at the Wholesale Market area, as part of its ongoing expansion plans, reported Gulf Times.
The Wholesale Market fuel station is spread over a 5,700SqM area. It has three lanes and nine dispensers to serve vehicles in the Wholesale Market and its neighbourhood.
The new petrol station will offer its services to residents around-the-clock. In addition to petrol and diesel dispensers, the pump will also include a Sidra convenience store and sale of LPG cylinders, according to The Peninsula.
Woqod is currently in the process of constructing 16 new petrol stations, many of which are expected to come online by next year. While nine of them are in the bidding phase, 14 of them are in the design phase.
“Woqod strives to expand its fuel station network in the country to meet the rising demand and achieve the goal of providing customers with access to best-in-class products and services at their convenience and comfort,” Woqod CEO Engineer Saad Rashid Al Muhannadi was quoted as saying by Qatar Tribune.
