Qatar General Tax Authority introduces new digital services for taxpayers

Qatar’s General Tax Authority has rolled out a series of updates to its digital services, aimed at making tax information, guidance and procedures easier for taxpayers to access and understand.

The enhancements include new online resources and improved functionality across the Authority’s website and the Dhareeba tax platform.

New Knowledge Centre

One of the main additions is a new Knowledge Centre, designed as a one-stop hub for tax guidance and information.

The platform is intended to help users find relevant information more easily and better understand tax requirements and procedures in Qatar.

Enhanced Dhareeba calculator

The General Tax Authority has also upgraded the online calculator available through the Dhareeba platform.

Users can now use the tool to calculate capital gains tax and financial penalties, helping make certain tax obligations easier to estimate digitally.

Updated tax guidance

The Authority has refreshed several website pages, including information relating to:

  • Tax Agreements
  • Capital Gains Tax

The updates aim to provide clearer guidance on tax requirements, procedures and related obligations.

Meetings can now be booked online

Taxpayers can also book a meeting with the General Tax Authority through the Dhareeba platform, adding another digital channel for users seeking direct assistance.

The latest updates support Qatar’s wider efforts to enhance digital government services and make public-sector platforms more accessible and efficient for individuals and businesses.
