Baraha Music Concert returns to Msheireb on January 14–15

Msheireb Properties, the developer and operator of Msheireb Downtown Doha, has announced the fourth edition of the 'Baraha Music Concert', in collaboration with Al Jazeera Orchestra and Choir, for the second year in a row, on 14 and 15 January 2027 at Msheireb Brahat Msheireb, with the participation of emerging local voices and singing talent, to celebrate the region's musical heritage.

The fourth edition will feature a new addition to individual performances in addition to the collective performance of the orchestra and choir, where a number of singers will present solo performances highlighting their voices and artistic experiences, before participating in the group performances, allowing the audience to learn about the individual talents that contribute to shaping the musical identity of the orchestra.

The musical program maintains its character inspired by traditional Arabic compositions and the musical heritage of the Arabian Peninsula, through musical arrangements that combine the originality of melodies with the spirit of contemporary performance.

Sheikh Nayef bin Ali Al Thani, founder of the Al Jazeera Orchestra and Choir Initiative, said that the initiative was based on the belief in the importance of preserving the musical heritage and transmitting it to new generations, noting that the audience's interaction with the previous participation reinforced the trend towards continuing to present this musical genre, while providing more space for individual performances to highlight the specificity of the participating voices.

Dr. Hafiz Ali Abdulla, Executive Director of Corporate Communications at Msheireb Properties, said that culture is central to Msheireb Downtown Doha's vision as a city that combines Qatari heritage with contemporary urban life, noting that hosting the concert embodies this trend by transforming public spaces into platforms to interact with musical heritage, support Qatari talent, and enrich the country's cultural scene.
