‘Designed to Last’ brings Moroccan fashion and craftsmanship to Msheireb

The Doha Design District has opened the exhibition "Timeless Designs" by Moroccan designer Archie Ifrah, founder and creative director of Marrakech-based Maison ARTC.

The opening of the exhibition was preceded by a special panel discussion with the participation of Ifrah, in the presence of members of the creative community in Doha, designers, fashion lovers and invited guests.

The exhibition features thirteen unique looks designed and curated by Afrah himself, along with his photographic works.

Drawing on Moroccan heritage, traditional craftsmanship and personal experience, his artistic practice reinterprets cultural influences with a contemporary vision, reflecting his guiding philosophy: "We move culture forward. We are the culture."

Dana Kazic, Director of the Doha Design District, said in a statement today that timeless designs invite reflection on what makes something worth keeping, and in the ability of fashion to preserve stories, express identity, and connect us to our cultural heritage.

Ifrah's work has gained international recognition, winning the Fashion Trust Arabia Award in 2022, and has been exhibited at prestigious venues, including the Victoria and Albert Museum in London and 10 Corso Como in Milan.

Alongside the exhibition, Timeless Designs offers a public programme of talks and live events that explore fashion as a form of cultural expression and creative practice.

It is worth mentioning that the exhibition "Timeless Designs" will continue to attract the public until November 5, and invites residents and visitors to experience fashion at the Craftsmanship, Cultural Memory and Contemporary Creativity Forum.

The accompanying program provides opportunities to contribute to a collective artwork, discover professional fashion techniques, and hear directly from designers and cultural practitioners.
