As Qatar moves toward the implementation of the first part of Phase 4 of the gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions, the Ministry of Transport and Communications (MoTC) has announced the resumption of the public transit system (buses and metro) at 30 percent capacity from Tuesday, September 1, 2020.

Doha Metro announced the opening of Legtaifiya station on the Red Line on September 1, which is one of the interchange stations between the Doha Metro and Lusail Tram, completing the 37 Doha Metro stations.
The station is located near major destinations such as Katara, The Pearl, Lagoona Mall, and several hotels located around that area.

In addition, Doha Metro announces the start of providing Wi-Fi services to the customers at the stations and trains from September 1. The service will be complimentary for the first 30 minutes during the day. The fee will be charged for the additional minutes.

Earlier, Doha Metro announced that it has implemented a series of measures to ensure the safety of everyone as it prepares to get back on track in Phase 4.
