The General Tax Authority has launched a new service allowing taxpayers to book meetings with the authority electronically through the Dhareeba platform, as part of its efforts to develop communication channels and make its services easier to access.
The service enables taxpayers to request a meeting with the authority to discuss tax-related enquiries and matters, providing an organised and direct channel of communication with the relevant departments and specialists.
Taxpayers can select a suitable appointment and specify the subject of the meeting in advance. They can also submit relevant data, information and documents relating to the matter they wish to discuss, allowing the concerned department to review the request and prepare for the meeting.
To use the service, taxpayers can access the Dhareeba platform, log in through the National Authentication System "Tawtheeq" and submit a meeting request electronically.
The request is then directed to the relevant department or specialist, while its status can be followed electronically, helping organise meeting schedules and make it easier to reach the appropriate authority.
The General Tax Authority said the service forms part of its use of digital solutions to simplify procedures and improve the taxpayer experience.
By allowing appointments to be booked in advance and meetings to be organised electronically, the service aims to provide a more flexible channel for direct communication, improve responses to tax-related enquiries and matters, and provide taxpayers with faster and more effective support and guidance.
The authority added that these measures contribute to raising awareness of tax obligations and supporting tax compliance.
