The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) launched the electronic platform for managing private associations and institutions as part of its efforts to keep pace with Qatar's digital transformation, enhance the user experience, and develop services provided to private associations and institutions registered under Decree-Law No. (21) of 2020 on Associations and Private Institutions. The initiative facilitates access to information and services and reflects the Ministry's commitment to providing advanced digital services that meet the needs of different segments of society.
The platform aims to bring together the services and procedures associated with private associations and institutions within a unified electronic pathway, helping to accelerate transactions, facilitate procedures, strengthen communication and integration with the relevant department, and improve the beneficiary experience. Its services cover multiple stages of their work, from establishment and licensing to procedures related to membership and general assembly meetings, as well as activities, events, reports, and other regulatory and administrative procedures, providing beneficiaries with a broad range of services that can be completed electronically.
For establishment and licensing, the platform provides a service for establishing a private association or institution, alongside licence renewal, allowing the related procedures to be completed electronically in accordance with approved requirements and facilitating their dealings with the relevant department. It also electronically provides several services, including requests for approval to hold a general assembly meeting and the addition of a new member, supporting the organisation of procedures related to managing an association or institution and facilitating their electronic completion.
For activities and events, the platform allows notification of an event or activity and the submission of activity reports, providing an electronic pathway for procedures concerning programmes and events implemented by private associations and institutions and supporting their organisation and monitoring.
Alongside its electronic services, the platform provides a public information portal where users can view private associations and institutions registered with the Ministry and learn about their objectives and board members, promoting transparency, facilitating access to information, and highlighting the role, areas of work, and contributions of civil society institutions in serving the community.
In this context, Abdullah Mohammed Al-Hajri, Director of the Private Associations and Institutions Department at the Ministry, said the platform's launch represents an important step in developing the system for working with private associations and institutions by employing digital solutions to simplify procedures and improve service efficiency. He explained that making services and procedures available through a unified electronic platform will facilitate the beneficiary journey and accelerate the completion and tracking of applications, supporting private associations and institutions in conducting their work within a more efficient and organised framework.
He added that the platform reflects the Ministry's commitment to facilitating civil society institutions' access to its services and providing an easier and clearer experience for accessing services and information, thereby supporting the role of private associations and institutions and their contributions to serving the community. The platform's launch forms part of the Ministry's efforts to continue its digital transformation and adopt modern technological solutions in line with the State's direction towards developing an integrated digital government system and improving the quality of services provided to beneficiaries.
