His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani yesterday participated in the funeral prayer of the former Kuwaiti Amir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jaber al-Sabah at Bilal bin Rabah Mosque in Kuwait.
HH the Personal Representative of the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani as well as several Sheikhs, ministers and members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir, also joined the prayer.

HH the Amir offered his condolences to the members of Kuwait's ruling family, and high ranking officials.
He prayed that Allah have mercy on the soul of the deceased and to rest it in peace in paradise.
HH the Personal Representative of the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Sheikhs and ministers, and members of the official delegation accompanying the Amir also extended their sympathies to the grieving family and officials.

Earlier, when HH the Amir arrived at the Kuwait Airport, he was welcomed by Advisor in the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Mohamed Al Khalid Hamad Al Sabah, Qatar's Ambassador Bandar bin Mohamed Al Attiyah, and the staff from the Qatar's Embassy in Kuwait.
The Amir was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani. The Amir was also accompanied by a number of Sheikhs and ministers.
HH the Amir and the delegation accompanying him left Kuwait after offering their condolences. They were seen off at the airport by Sheikh Mohamed Al Khaled Al Hamad Al Sabah, Qatar's ambassador and embassy staff.
HH the Amir arrived back in Doha in the evening.
Yesterday evening, following an announcement by the Amiri Diwan, absentee funeral prayer (Salat al-Gha'ib in Arabic) was performed for the late HH Sheikh Sabah in all the mosques across Qatar.
Sheikh Sabah, who had been the ruler of Kuwait since 2006, died Tuesday at the age of 91.
Sheikh Sabah was a great leader characterized by wisdom, moderation, and long-term vision, a statement by the Amiri Diwan highlighted.
