Yesterday, His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani visited the Research and Development Center at Barzan Holding Company affiliated with the Ministry of Defense to inspect the production lines for the manufacturing of the Savr-Q ventilators.
The center is located at the company's headquarters in the Qatar Science and Technology Park.
The production of these ventilators follows from HH the Amir's directives and is part of the country's efforts to respond to the COVID-19 challenge.

Barzan will produce the respirators through a strategic partnership with the American company, Wilcox, to cover the requirements of Qatar's health sectors, Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported.
The products will also be exported abroad to meet the global demand for respirators, in the face of the COVID-19 pandemic. These will serve as essential medical devices in the treatment of those affected by COVID-19.
According to QNA, Barzan is set to produce 2000 of these products every week.
While visiting the company, HH the Amir also met with some Qatari engineers who have been working on creating devices that are in line with the standards of the American Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
HE Qatar's PM as well as a number of their excellencies, ministers and senior officials, accompanied HH the Amir on the visit.
