Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi told his Omani counterpart Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi that Tehran was open to any ‘serious efforts at de-escalation,’ according to Oman’s foreign ministry.

Oman has been acting as a mediator in the recent nuclear talks between Iran and the United States, and Al Busaidi had met with US Vice President JD Vance in Washington on Friday.

Araqchi also said that the joint US-Israel attacks were ‘a cause of escalating tension and panic in the region,’ according to the Oman foreign ministry statement.
