The Oman News Agency, citing a security source, reported that two drones had targeted the Omani port of Duqm, injuring one foreign worker in the process. While one drone struck a mobile workers’ accommodation, debris from the second landed near fuel tanks. It caused no material damage.

Qatar expressed ‘strong condemnation of the Iranian attacks’ that targeted Oman’s commercial port of Duqm and an oil tanker off its coast.

“Qatar considers these attacks a violation of Omani sovereignty, an unacceptable escalation, and a cowardly act targeting a state that plays an active role in mediation efforts,” the Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Oman’s maritime security centre said Palau-flagged oil tanker Skylight was ‌attacked about five nautical miles off Oman’s Musandam.

Four people were wounded, and the whole crew of 20 people were evacuated. No other information was immediately available.
