Qatar MOCI app adds instant certificate issuance and establishment renewal services

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry has introduced new digital services through its mobile application, allowing businesses and individuals to obtain a range of certificates and complete establishment renewal procedures without visiting a service centre.

The new features include a Certificates service, which provides instant access to eight commonly requested certificates and extracts, as well as a Comprehensive Renewal service for establishments.

Eight certificates and extracts available

Through the Certificates service, users can request the following:

• Commercial Registration/Licence Status Certificate
• Accounting Firm Certificate
• Letter to the Qatar Financial Markets Authority
• Auditor Registration Certificate
• Company Extract – Commercial Registration/Licence
• Trade Name Change certificate
• Business/Negative Certificate by ID Number
• Auditor Certificate

The service is designed to make certificate requests faster by allowing users to complete the entire process through the app.

How the certificate service works

According to MOCI, users can obtain certificates through a simplified digital process that includes instant issuance, the ability to preview the certificate before payment, and direct downloading once the request is completed.

Four certificates are available free of charge, while selected certificates carry a QAR 50 fee.

The service reduces the number of steps needed to obtain frequently requested commercial documents and allows users to access them remotely.

Establishments can also be renewed through the app

MOCI has also introduced its Comprehensive Renewal service, allowing users to complete their establishment renewal procedures directly through the application.

The process includes selecting the establishment, reviewing renewal details, submitting the request and completing payment through the app.

The service is aimed at making establishment renewals more convenient and reducing the need for in-person procedures.

Expanding digital business services in Qatar

The new services form part of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry’s wider efforts to simplify government procedures and improve access to commercial services digitally.

By bringing certificate issuance and establishment renewal into the same app, businesses can complete more routine administrative procedures online and within fewer steps.
