The Ministry of Municipality announced that the total number of slaughtered animals inspected at the various state abattoirs reached 14,584 by 6 pm on Friday, the third day of Eid al-Adha, across 12 abattoirs distributed in various regions of the country.

The ministry affirmed that the veterinary inspection and health control work on sacrificial animals comes within the framework of its keenness to ensure the safety of meat and its suitability for human consumption, and to provide integrated veterinary services in accordance with the highest health standards, which contributes to maintaining public health and providing a healthy and safe environment for the public during the Eid season.

Official statistics explained that the inspection and examination of the slaughtered animals was supervised by a specialized team of veterinarians, who monitored the sacrifices and ensured their safety in various approved slaughterhouses, in line with the high demand for slaughterhouse services during the Eid days.

At the conclusion of the Eid al-Adha sacrificial animal reception operations, the Ministry of Municipality confirmed the success of the operational and supervisory plan at the slaughterhouses, which contributed to providing slaughtering and veterinary inspection services with high efficiency, ensuring the safety of the meat in circulation and protecting public health, appreciating the public’s cooperation and commitment to slaughtering within approved slaughterhouses, which enhances public health and safety standards.
