His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a phone call with Egypt's Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptians Abroad, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, to discuss bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.
During the call, the two officials reviewed the strong cooperation between Qatar and Egypt and explored ways to further strengthen ties between the two countries.
They also exchanged views on ongoing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at reducing regional tensions, enhancing security, and promoting stability across the region.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman stressed the importance of all parties remaining committed to dialogue and diplomacy, while implementing the provisions agreed upon under the memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran.
He also underscored the need to ensure freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as essential for maintaining regional security, preserving recent progress, and reinforcing stability.
The Prime Minister reaffirmed Qatar's full support for all diplomatic initiatives aimed at easing tensions and reaching a comprehensive agreement that delivers lasting peace and stability in the region.
