Qatar and the United Arab Emirates have reaffirmed their commitment to expanding economic and investment cooperation following a meeting between H.E. Sheikh Faisal bin Thani bin Faisal Al Thani and H.E. Saeed Abdullah Al Qamzi, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the State of Qatar.
During the meeting, the two sides reviewed the longstanding fraternal relations between the two countries and discussed ways to build on shared investment opportunities and further strengthen economic collaboration.
The discussions come as bilateral economic ties continue to grow. Trade between Qatar and the UAE reached USD 8.4 billion in 2025, representing a 10% increase compared to 2024.
Qatar's exports to the UAE exceeded USD 6.7 billion, reflecting the strength of trade relations between the two countries. The figures also show the increasing presence of Emirati businesses in Qatar, with more than 624 UAE companies currently operating in the Qatari market.
Officials highlighted that the strong economic partnership reflects the deep-rooted relationship between the two neighbouring countries and expressed optimism about further enhancing cooperation in ways that support sustainable development, investment and shared prosperity.
