Qatar announces online auction for impounded vehicles through Soum app

Qatar’s General Directorate of Traffic has announced a new electronic auction for impounded vehicles, which will be conducted through the Soum app.

The auction will begin at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 11, 2026, and continue until 4:00 PM on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Vehicle photos available from October 8

Those interested in participating will be able to view photos of the vehicles on the Soum app from Thursday, October 8.

This will allow prospective buyers to review the vehicles before the auction begins.

In-person vehicle inspection available

The General Directorate of Traffic will also allow interested buyers to inspect the vehicles in person before bidding.

Inspection details:

• Location: Vehicle Impound Yard, Industrial Area – Street 52
• Dates: October 9–11, 2026
• Time: 7:00 AM–12:00 PM

Auction runs for 24 hours

Bidding will take place entirely through the Soum app over a 24-hour period.

The auction opens at 4:00 PM on October 11 and closes at 4:00 PM on October 12.

Those planning to participate should review the vehicle information and inspection arrangements ahead of the auction opening.
