The Qatar Civil Aviation Authority held a specialised workshop titled "National Air Transport Facilitation Programme" on August 25, with representatives from relevant entities participating at the Qatar Air Traffic Control Centre.

The workshop aimed to familiarise participants with international requirements, Annex 9 of the Chicago Convention on International Civil Aviation, and the main pillars of the National Air Transport Facilitation Programme.

It also sought to strengthen coordination and integration between relevant entities and prepare for the programme's next phase, supporting the application of best practices in air transport facilitation.

The workshop reviewed the final approved version of the National Air Transport Facilitation Programme for 2026, along with the roles and responsibilities assigned to the entities involved in its implementation.

Participants also discussed mechanisms for coordination and integration between the relevant bodies.

The workshop covered the legal and regulatory framework supporting implementation of the programme, as well as implementation plans and related application and performance indicators.

The discussions were aimed at strengthening overall readiness for the programme's implementation.
