Qatar participated in the second meeting of the States Parties to the Arab Charter on Human Rights, held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States in Cairo.
Qatar was represented at the meeting by Fatima Ali Al Hajri, First Secretary at the Human Rights Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The two-day meeting is discussing ways to prepare a framework for guiding principles for the implementation of Paragraph 3 of Article 45 of the Arab Charter on Human Rights.
The meeting forms part of the implementation of a resolution issued by the 164th session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the ministerial level.
It also continues a series of coordination and consultative meetings held on the matter.
