HH The Amir and UK Prime Minister discuss Palestine, Strait of Hormuz tensions

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Andy Burnham reviewed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to support and strengthen them in various fields.

This came during a phone call received by HH The Amir today from the British Prime Minister.

The two sides also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues, especially with regard to the developments of the Palestinian issue and efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace based on the two-state solution.

The two sides discussed the recent escalation in the Strait of Hormuz and its repercussions on the region and international maritime traffic, stressing the importance of reducing tensions and giving precedence to dialogue and diplomatic solutions, in a way that contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region.
