Qatar Post has launched a new remittance service linking Qatar and India, in cooperation with India Post and the Universal Postal Union (UPU), timed to coincide with India’s Independence Day on August 15.
The service allows customers in Qatar to send money to beneficiaries in India via ‘PosTransfer,’ powered by the Unified Payments Interface (UPI). It is designed to provide an accessible, reliable channel for financial transfers, expand options for Qatar’s Indian community, simplify sending funds to families in India, and integrate postal services with modern digital payment solutions.
The launch reflects Qatar Post’s efforts to develop its service portfolio and broaden its financial solutions in line with customer needs and rapid changes in the postal and financial sectors.
Collaboration with India Post and the UPU underscores the role of international partnerships in advancing postal and financial services.
It aligns with Qatar Post’s strategy to leverage global expertise and postal networks to deliver practical, reliable solutions, strengthen Qatar-India ties, and facilitate money transfers for Indian expatriates in Qatar.
