Ministry of Commerce and Industry Signs Agreement with Qatar Post to Enhance Investor Services

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry signed a cooperation agreement with Qatar Post under which Qatar Post was authorised to provide business licensing services through the ministry’s Single Window platform.

The agreement was signed by Mr. Mubarak Abdulrahman Al-Khulaifi, Director of the Single Window Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, and Mr. Hamad Al Fahida, Chief Operating Officer of Qatar Post.

A statement issued by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry said the agreement forms part of the cooperation between the ministry and Qatar Post to strengthen integration and develop services provided to investors and entrepreneurs. It will draw on Qatar Post’s postal and logistics solutions and services to streamline procedures, improve service efficiency and enhance the beneficiary experience.

Under the agreement, Qatar Post will enable its customers from among investors, entrepreneurs and the private sector to apply directly for licensing and business establishment services through the Single Window platform, in accordance with applicable laws and procedures.

The service will help accelerate business establishment procedures, simplify the investor journey and improve service quality through a more efficient and integrated digital experience, supporting digital transformation efforts and strengthening Qatar’s business environment.

Mr. Mubarak Abdulrahman Al-Khulaifi, Director of the Single Window Department at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, said the agreement with Qatar Post is part of a series of cooperation agreements concluded by the ministry with various entities operating in the country. These agreements aim to facilitate procedures for investors and provide high-quality services to the business sector, supporting private-sector growth and responding to investors’ needs.

Al-Khulaifi added that the agreement will help consolidate the Single Window platform’s position as the government’s primary destination for establishing and conducting business in Qatar. It will also strengthen cooperation and partnerships with various entities in the country, support the simplification of procedures, develop the investment environment, promote business-sector growth, enhance the diversity, competitiveness and sustainability of the national economy, and provide a more flexible and efficient business environment in line with the objectives of Qatar National Vision 2030.

Mr. Hamad Al Fahida, Chief Operating Officer of Qatar Post, said the agreement reflects Qatar Post’s commitment to developing its services and strengthening cooperation with government entities in ways that streamline procedures and meet the needs of investors and entrepreneurs.

He added that enabling applications for licensing and business establishment services through the Single Window platform, while drawing on Qatar Post’s network and operational expertise, will provide beneficiaries with an easier and more efficient experience and support digital transformation efforts and the development of Qatar’s business environment.
