The weather conditions in Qatar will continue to be dusty during the mornings and cold at night, according to a forecast by the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD).

The country is likely to experience slight dust to blowing dust at times, and relatively cold nights during the weekend, the QMD said.

Over the weekend, the lowest temperature will range between 16°C and 19°C, while the maximum temperature will range between 22°C and 24°C.

On Friday, February 17, one should expect strong winds and high waves offshore. The wind will blow Northwesterly at 18 to 28 knots, gusting to 35 knots at places at times. The sea height will range between 10 to 14 feet.

On Saturday, February 18, strong wind and high waves offshore are expected. The wind will blow Northwesterly at 15 to 25 knots, gusting to 32 knots at places at times. The height of sea waves will range between 7 to 13 feet.

QMD has also issued a marine warning during this period for inshore and offshore, reminding the public to avoid marine activities. It also came out with a video explaining the weather conditions over the weekend.

The good weather in the country has continued since Bard Al Azariq, the year’s coldest days, finished in January.
