Qatar to host AIIB Annual Meeting 2026 on September 28–29

Qatar will host the 11th Annual Meeting of the Board of Governors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) on September 28 and 29, bringing together senior representatives from member countries and stakeholders from around the world.

The meeting will welcome government delegations, policymakers, business leaders, clients, partners and other participants involved in infrastructure and investment.

Focus on the future of infrastructure

The 2026 meeting will be held under the theme “Infrastructure of Tomorrow: Impact and Innovation.”

The theme reflects the Bank’s focus as it enters its second decade, with greater emphasis on expanding investment in sustainable infrastructure and strengthening the long-term impact of projects across its member countries.

Participants are expected to discuss the Bank’s strategic direction, operational priorities and plans for the coming years.

Key areas of focus will include investment impact, innovation and the development of more sustainable and resilient infrastructure.

AIIB’s key annual gathering

The Annual Meeting is one of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank’s most important events for governance and engagement with its stakeholders.

It provides a platform for representatives from member states and the wider business and development community to exchange views on investment priorities and the future direction of infrastructure financing.
