Qatar Weather Alert: Strong winds expected from Monday

The Qatar Meteorology Department has issued a weather advisory warning that the country will be affected by fresh to strong northwesterly winds beginning Monday, July 6, with conditions expected to continue through the end of the week.

According to the department, the stronger winds could result in blowing dust and reduced horizontal visibility in several areas, particularly during periods of increased wind speeds.

The advisory also includes marine warnings, with rougher sea conditions expected during the affected period. Mariners and those planning offshore activities are urged to monitor official weather updates before heading out to sea.

The Qatar Meteorology Department has advised residents to take necessary precautions, particularly while driving in dusty conditions, and to stay informed through official weather channels as the windy weather persists throughout the week.
