Thundery rain possible across parts of Qatar on Monday and Tuesday

Qatar could see local rainfall and thunderstorms across some areas on Monday and Tuesday, October 26–27, according to the latest update from Qatar Meteorology.

Forecasters said local rainy clouds may develop and could become thundery over some parts of the country during the two-day period.

Residents have also been advised to remain cautious as thunderstorms may be accompanied by strong downdraft winds.

Blowing dust could reduce visibility

Qatar Meteorology warned that strong winds associated with thundery clouds could stir up dust and temporarily reduce horizontal visibility in some areas.

Weather conditions may vary considerably between locations, meaning some areas could experience rain and thunderstorms while others remain relatively dry.

Motorists should remain alert if visibility deteriorates due to rain or blowing dust and follow any further weather advisories issued by the authorities.

Rain chances continue through Tuesday

The latest forecast covers Monday and Tuesday, October 26 and 27.

Qatar Meteorology's rainfall forecast map also indicates potential rainfall activity over parts of the country during this period.

Residents are advised to continue monitoring official Qatar Meteorology updates as weather conditions develop.
