Third Round of Qatar Off-Road Championship Concludes

In an exciting atmosphere, the second round of the Survival category concluded this evening. The event formed the third round of the sixth edition of the Qatar Off-Road Championship for the 2026 season, organised by the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation in the Sealine area over two days with strong participation from leading drivers and riders.

The round featured 37 competitors representing 10 countries: Qatar, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Britain, Portugal, Singapore, Lithuania and the United States.

The second Survival round featured impressive performances and intense competition among participants seeking the leading positions in Class 1 and Class 2, alongside the Veteran and Challenger categories.

In the Class 1 motorcycle category, Britain's Ethan Lane secured first place with a time of 51.29 minutes. Fellow British rider Alex McInnes finished second in 52.46 minutes, while Emirati rider Mohammad Al Balooshi placed third in 55.20 minutes.

In the special categories, Singaporean rider محمد بندول won the Veteran title after finishing first in 59.54 minutes. Jordanian rider Abdullah Abu Aisha claimed the Challenger title with a first-place time of 55.32 minutes.

In the Class 2 quad category, Emirati rider Mansoor S Al Suwaidi took first place in 56.20 minutes. He finished ahead of compatriots Abdulaziz Ahli, who placed second in 56.57 minutes, and Ali Hasan Almarzooqi, who came third in 1.00.19 minutes.

Ali Hasan Almarzooqi also won the Challenger category after taking first place with a time of 1.00.19 minutes.

Following the competition, Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation Executive Director Amro Al-Hamad and Race Director Pedro Almeida presented awards to the top three finishers in each category.

The round was held as part of the Qatar Motor and Motorcycle Federation's efforts to develop off-road racing, increase participation in motorcycle competitions and provide a competitive environment in which riders from different countries can test their abilities and skills on Qatar's desert courses.
