With a host of prestigious international events held in Qatar in recent years, the country has evolved into a powerful sporting hub in the region.

Qatar Olympic Committee unveiled the slogan and the logo for the 2030 Asian Games.

The slogan of the Doha 2030 Asian Games is ''Your Gateway''.

His Excellency Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Qatar Olympic Committee said “We truly believe that Doha 2030 would be your gateway to a brighter future for Asian sport. A future that meets the needs and priorities of the Asian National Olympic Committees. We are living in difficult times, but the legacy of Doha 2006 means we have the opportunity to deliver a lasting legacy for Asia. This bid is a national priority for Qatar, and we look forward to working with the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) and the Asian National Olympic Committees to showcase why we are ready to be the perfect host in 2030”.

Last year, Qatar successfully hosted three major international sporting events, including the International Association of Athletics Federation (IAAF) World Athletics Championships Doha 2019, the first-ever Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) World Beach Games, and the FIFA Club World Cup 2019.

The events, which saw thousands of international sportsmen, athletes, and leading sports professionals come to Qatar, reflect Qatar's prowess in organizing, hosting, and managing world-class sporting events.

Qatar was the host of the Asian Games in 2006. The mega sporting event stimulated the country's impressive growth and development in the field of sports.
