Today is the day Qatar realizes part of its dream in the lead up to the FIFA 2022 World Cup. Hitting yet another milestone, the nation will mark the opening of Al Wakrah Stadium, which is all set to host the 47th Amir Cup final tonight!
With all tickets for the final clash being sold out yesterday, the 40,000 capacity stadium will be a sight to see as teams Al Duhail and Al Sadd will battle it out for the winner's trophy.
Earlier this week, the Ministry of Interior (MOI) shared some important instructions for spectators to make sure everyone enjoys a safe and memorable experience.
MOI has announced a number of instructions for individuals attending the Amir Cup final at Al Wakrah Stadium tomorrow to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all. Check out the story to know more!#Qatar #AmirCup #Final #AlWakrahStadiumhttps://t.co/IYBJSKjFkj pic.twitter.com/dIqj4QAFsl

Gates of the stadium are expected to open at 7.30 pm for the public, according to MOI that also recommends people come in early to avoid traffic congestion. The match will begin at 10.30 pm with a number of activities taking place prior to that.
MOI has also issued a list of prohibited items, so have a look at these and make sure you aren't carrying any such thing in order to be able to enjoy the match with ease.
The Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC) has said match ticket holders can take a free shuttle bus from Al Wakrah Metro Station to and from the stadium.
The bus takes approximately 30 minutes and the stadium gates open at 7:30, so it is highly important that you leave home well ahead of the start time.
The fan zone and the beautiful new stadium will offer you plenty to explore if you arrive early.
The last metro from Al Wakrah Metro station will leave at 3 am on Friday, May 17.
There are dedicated parking spots for fans. SC has urged ticket holders to scan the QR code on their Amir Cup final ticket to see which zone they should park in. For any assistance, security personnel will be on ground to offer support.
Here's a map on how to get there:
Mowasalat is offering a flat 25 percent discount on Karwa taxis for those travelling to Wakrah to attend the Amir Cup final. Individuals can use the promo code "AMIRCUP" on the Karwa app to avail the discount.

Moreover, the Public Works Authority - Ashghal has urged road users not attending the final to avoid the area surrounding Al Wakrah Stadium from 6.30pm this evening until 2am on Friday.
The historic match tonight will be graced by HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani accompanied by a number of Ministers and their Excellencies.
For those who are unable to go, here's a link shared by SC that will allow you to watch the match live.
We wish you a joyful experience as the nation celebrates a massive achievement tonight!
