Cosplay comes from the words ‘costume play’, and is a hobby in which the ‘cosplayers’ wear self-made costumes to represent or impersonate a certain character.
It’s not uncommon for cosplayers to create their own subculture. Popular cosplay sources include cartoons, films, anime, comic books, television series and video games.
Introducing Q-Cosplay
Q-Cosplay was formed on the 6th of November 2015 by a group of people who loved cosplaying Star Wars Characters. The founder, Mr. Kebab, travelled the globe to learn more about different kinds of culture practicing cosplay and decided to bring it here to Doha.
The cosplay community in Qatar has been growing steadily since its founding, and Q-Cosplay has formed a diverse set of members that are like a family sharing their love of cosplaying different characters from all sorts of media.
