With the weekend coming up, we’ve got a few suggestions to keep you entertained and busy for the next three days. Qatar’s got a lot going on, you just need to know where to look, so make the most of your free time and check out these events and venues for something new and fun to do.

 

Top 3 things to do this weekend:

 

1. American Brunch at Lagoon Restaurant

Following the success of The Farmers and The Super Hero Brunch last season, The Ritz-Carlton, Doha continues to raise the bar and innovate on the brunch concept with the launch of The Worldwide Brunch at Lagoon Restaurant.

The Worldwide Brunch has so far showcased the cuisine of unique culinary destinations, including Mexico, Greece and Italy and Turkey. Pan America on August 31st, from 1 pm till 4 pm, is the final installment of the series.

Brunch is overseen by four international Chefs, Executive Chef Satish Yerramilli, Executive Sous-Chef Evangelos Liakouris, Efe Salar, Chef de cuisine at Lagoon Restaurant and Xavier Vautier, Pastry Chef.

Family and friends will be entertained with musical performances while the little ones can join the festive fun with an array of activities, including face painting, balloon twisting, cinema watching and many more.

The Worldwide Brunch is priced at QAR 280 per person inclusive of selected house beverages, QAR 180 per person inclusive of soft beverages, and QAR 90 for children between 5 to 12 years old and complimentary for those below 5.

2. The Hilarity Parade

Fraser Suites West Bay Doha and Stand Up Comedy Qatar (SUCQ) are teaming up a third time to bring you more than a few laughs at The Hilarity Parade.

A ticket costs QAR 100, with snacks and beverages included.

You will need:

A Valid Qatar ID and passport required at the entrance.

Be 15 years-old or above (Kids are not permitted).

3. Spend and Splash at The Pearl-Qatar

Where: The Pearl-Qatar

Dates: August 1 - August 31

Times: 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm

The Pearl-Qatar's month-long water activities are for everyone, so make a splash every time you shop or dine on the island, and beat the summer heat!

For every receipt with a minimum of QAR 100 spent in The Pearl-Qatar’s retail shops and restaurants, you will get free access to a range of water activities!

Events to look out for in the week ahead:

AIR Exhibition - 'Dual Inspirations'

Where: Doha Fire Station

Dates: July 15 - October 1, 2018

Times: 9:00 am - 10:00 pm

The 3rd edition of the 'AIR Exhibition' at Doha Fire Station continues. 'Dual Inspirations' delves into the intellectual concepts that surround "inspiration as a platform".

The exhibition will run till October 1st.

"Mabuhay": A Celebration of Customs and Traditions of the Philippines

The Philippines has been influenced by Malayo-Polynesian, Indian, and Arab cultures, along with unique traditions and customs of its own. This event at QNL celebrates this rich cultural heritage.
