Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has introduced a set of new digital services through its Lbaih mobile application as part of its ongoing efforts to reduce waiting times, simplify patient processes, and enhance the outpatient experience.
The new services include a feature that allows patients to confirm their medical appointments through the app within 48 hours of their scheduled visit.
Once the 48-hour appointment confirmation window begins, appointment cancellation and rescheduling are no longer available through the application. Patients who need to cancel or reschedule their appointment during this period should contact Nesma'ak directly by calling 16060.
Residents can also conveniently pay applicable appointment fees electronically as part of the first phase of the rollout, which is currently available at Heart Hospital, Al Wakra Hospital, and the Communicable Disease Center.
The latest update also enables patients to access their radiology results and reports from all HMC hospitals through the Medical File section of the application. Radiology reports become available after they have been approved by the physician.
The new services are part of HMC’s continued digital transformation efforts. Since its launch in July 2025, the Lbaih application has been downloaded more than 300,000 times, with users benefiting from an expanding range of innovative digital healthcare services.
Chief of Patient Experience at HMC and Director of Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute Nasser Al Naimi said the new services reflect HMC’s ongoing focus on improving accessibility and convenience for patients.
“The continued expansion of digital services through the Lbaih application is helping make healthcare more convenient and accessible for our patients. These new features are designed to simplify key stages of the outpatient journey, enhance the patient experience, reduce waiting times, and give patients greater flexibility and control over managing their healthcare experience,” he said.
For her part, Chief Information Officer of HMC Dr. Amal Gomaa Abdulla said the latest enhancements to the Lbaih application reflect HMC's continued investment in digital innovation to improve healthcare access and patient experience.
“The new Lbaih functions are designed to make the outpatient journey more efficient for patients while also supporting improved operational efficiency across our facilities. Through Lbaih, we are continuing to expand secure, user-friendly digital services that give patients easier access to healthcare information and greater control over managing their care through a single integrated platform,” she said.
