Mekdam Holding and Turkey's Lasersan Sign Strategic Technology Partnership

Mekdam Holding Group Q.P.S.C. has signed a strategic partnership agreement with Turkish company Lasersan Advanced Teknoloji Sistemleri A.Ş., paving the way for cooperation on advanced technology solutions in Qatar.

The agreement was signed during an official ceremony in Doha on Sunday, August 16, 2026, attended by senior representatives from both companies.

Under the partnership, the two sides will work to localise advanced technologies in Qatar and provide integrated solutions tailored to the needs of the local market.

Lasersan specialises in developing solutions covering electro-optical systems, laser communication systems and radar technologies for the defence, aviation and security sectors.

The partnership is also intended to support Qatar National Vision 2030 objectives related to economic diversification, technology localisation and the development of a knowledge-based economy.

HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Nawaf Nasser bin Khalid Al Thani, Chairman of Mekdam Holding Group, said the agreement represents an important step in the group's efforts to strengthen its presence in advanced technology sectors.

He said cooperation with Lasersan reflects the confidence of international companies in Qatar's investment environment and will contribute to transferring expertise and knowledge to national talent.

Huseyin Arslan, Chairman of Lasersan, described Qatar as a strategic gateway to regional markets and said the partnership would enable the delivery of high-performance and reliable systems based on advanced technologies in surveillance, communications and radar.

Mekdam Holding Group, which is listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange, provides integrated solutions across technology, engineering projects and workforce supply.

The group also works in areas linked to industrial and digital transformation, including the development and implementation of smart and sustainable infrastructure.

Mekdam Holding comprises a number of specialised companies and holds internationally recognised certifications covering quality, environmental management, occupational safety and information security.

Lasersan, meanwhile, specialises in integrated technology solutions for the defence, aviation and security sectors.
