106,349 passengers used the Doha Metro services in the seven stations located in the Corniche area during the temporary closure of the Corniche Street, Doha Metro posted on its social media account.
Today, Ashghal announced the reopening of traffic on Corniche Street which was closed in both directions from Friday, August 6 until Tuesday, August 10, 2021.
This traffic diversion plan was implemented in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic of the Ministry of Interior (MoI) aimed at facilitating the completion of some construction works of the Corniche Street development project.
There are seven stations of Doha Metro along Corniche Street including DECC, West Bay, Corniche, Al Bidda, Souq Waqif, Msheireb, and the National Museum of Qatar.

Additionally, there are six public transport bus stations at various locations including stations beside Dafna Park, City Center, DECC Metro Station, Hotel Park, Doha Fishing Port, and Souq Waqif Metro.
The public transport buses operate at intervals of every 10-15 minutes, providing transportation for nine hours on Friday from 2:00 pm – 11:59 pm and on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday from 6:00 am to 11:00 pm.
The buses operate in parallel with Metro operating hours.
