This morning, the Amir, HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani, offered Eid Al-Adha prayers at the Al Wajba praying place.

HH Personal Representative of HH the Amir Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al-Thani, HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani, and HE Sheikh Jassim bin Khalifa Al-Thani also led the prayer.

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al-Thani, HE Speaker of the Shura Council Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim, and a number of Their Excellencies Sheikhs, ministers, Shura Council members, ambassadors, and residents also led the prayer.

His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Thaqeel Sayer Al Shammari, a member of the Supreme Judiciary Council and a judge of the Court of Cassation, led the prayer and delivered the Eid sermon, explaining that Eid is a manifestation of the nation's unity, a day of giving, piety, and loyalty, and one of God's rituals, and it is the greatest of days, explaining the virtue of the rule of sacrifice during this day when Muslims' feelings are united. He also advocated for soul cleansing, heart purification and reform, kindred relations, and the building of bonds between members of society.
