It's been a step many residents wishing to return to Qatar have been waiting for, and now as of August 1st, the application for Exceptional Entry Permit to Qatar is live on Qatar Portal.

The temporary portal is to aid in the return of residents who have been stuck abroad since the temporary entry ban on flights into Qatar was implemented, amidst the worldwide COVID-19 pandemic, to Qatar. 

The process was previously announced on July 23rd in preperation for Phase 3 of the easing of restrictions in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic, and allows applications to be done under two types of accounts - one for Qatar residents and citizens and another for visitors and business representatives. 

For Qatar residents and citizens, one needs to enter the QID and a personal mobile number, while visitors have to enter the email and number before moving to the next step of adding personal details.
