Motorists who often find themselves using Al Wakrah Road, take note of the Public Works Authority's (Ashghal) latest announcement regarding a partial traffic shift on Al Wakrah Road that goes into effect today, August 5.

The traffic shift will remain in place on Al Wakrah main road between Al Afja roundabout, which is known as Al Jabal roundabout, and Woqod Petrol Station for the next six months.

The shift on the 1.5kilometer stretch is being implemented in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.

The purpose of the shift is to allow the reconstruction of Al Wakrah's main road.

Ashghal will install the relevant road signs to advise motorists of the traffic shift.

Ashghal has requested all road users to abide by the speed limits and follow the road signs to ensure their safety as well as of others on the road.
