In an announcement that adds to the joy of the blessed occasion of Eid Al Adha, the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has issued a list of mosques and prayer grounds where Eid Al Adha 2020 prayers will be held.
According to the list, over 400 mosques and prayer grounds across Qatar will be opened to worshippers to pray the Eid prayers, held approximately 15 minutes after sunrise.

Awqaf also released another list that includes the names of as many as 200 mosques allocated for Friday prayers.
Under Phase 3 of the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in the country, worshippers can perform Friday prayers at these mosques starting next Friday.

The list of mosques opened for Friday prayers is available here.
The mosques for Friday prayer will be opened with first prayer call, 30 minutes before Friday sermon and it will be closed after 10 minutes of Friday prayers. Women and children are not allowed inside the mosque during Friday prayers, The Peninsula reported.
All safety measures and precautionary guidelines will be implemented to ensure the safety of everyone in attendance.

“We would like to remind the worshipers to adhere strictly to all preventive and precautionary measures for prayers in mosques,” Awqaf stated in a tweet on its official page.
The elderly and those with chronic conditions are encouraged to pray at home.
