NeXTfairs has announced that all preparations for the Build Your House Exhibition 2021 (BYH) are complete in order for the event to take place virtually.
Under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, the event is set to take place at the Qatar National Convention Center from September 20 to 22 this year.
Qatar Living will be the media partner for the much-anticipated exhibition, whereas Qatar Living Properties being a property partner for the event.
The announcement was made in light of the significant decrease in COVID-19 cases and after consulting the government’s entities, exhibitors, and partners.
Rawad Sleem, Co-founder and General Manager of NeXTfairs for Exhibitions and Conferences, said “The dates of BYH 2021 exhibition come after a daily follow-up of the local market variables and continuous discussions with all our exhibitors and stakeholders that are still 100 percent committed to moving the dates to September where we worked with them hand in hand as partners to overcome the COVID-19 challenges and difficulties it imposed on the housing industry.
“Considering the rapid progress in the vaccination program and the great role played by the Ministry of Public Health and the concerned entities in combating this pandemic, the results have proven positive, and it is expected that most of the population will be fully vaccinated by August 2021, thus eliminating any possibility of a third wave of the pandemic,” he added.
This year’s BHY will be held virtually via the DigiCon platform, a comprehensive electronic platform that provides the latest virtual communication technologies with interactive windows.
It aims to mimic the traditional face-to-face exhibitions with customized features like exchanging agreements between participating companies, having private meetings and live broadcasts, creating user-friendly clients’ lists, in addition to easy access to digital content from anywhere.
Sleem revealed that NeXTfairs would provide that digital platform exclusively and free of charge to companies and entities participating in the second edition of BYH 2021, representing an additional value for the exhibition and an extension for the live event at the Qatar National Convention Center.
Petula Rahme, Exhibition Manager, said that one of the distinctive new features for this year’s event is the Conference “Knowledge and Technology Area”, delivering workshops, panel discussions, and live product demos that will bring together a host of inspirational names to help visitors plan, procure, design, and build homes fit for the 21st century with a sustainable future and smart home solutions.
These seminars, conducted by futurist keynote speakers, experts, and peers in the industry such as government entities, contractors, consultants, will get visitors involved in an interactive ‘huddle’ to take home new ideas and practical solutions that will introduce them to the various procedures and stages of building their houses.
