Seven violations have been registered against automobile service centres in the Industrial Area for delays in providing “adequate” after-sales services to clients, Gulf Times has reported.
The violations were discovered by the Ministry of Economy and Commerce’s officers during inspections.
On checking documents and electronic records, the inspectors found some cases of delay in supplying spare parts required for the repair of their customers’ vehicles.
Such delays in providing the required service exceeded the permissible grace period under the law.
The ministry has urged all consumers to report such violations or any other concerns to its Consumer Protection Department:
- Toll-free line: 8005000
- Hotlines 4494 5550 or 44945500
- SMS (92665) - send complaint + the word "consumer"
- E-mail cpd@mbt.gov.qa
