In today’s COVID-19 statistics, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced that Qatar recorded its third death in the fight against the Coronavirus (COVID-19).

The death was of an 85-year-old resident who was suffering from acute pneumonia. The deceased was admitted to intensive care immediately upon his diagnosis yesterday, and treatment and medical care were provided to him immediately.

The tragic news comes from the announcement of 114 new cases and 1 new recovery.

The patient who has recovered from the COVID-19 infection and are in good health, the officials confirmed. With these, the total number of COVID-19 recovery in Qatar has now reached 72.

With the 114 new cases of the virus in the country, the total positive cases of COVID-19 are 949 in Qatar.

The MoPH conducted laboratory COVID-19 tests for 1435 people, bringing the total number of tests to 26,260 so far, as the use of new laboratory techniques continues to contribute to a greater number of daily tests.

On March 28, Qatar recorded its first death in the fight against the Coronavirus (COVID-19). MoPH states that the death was of a Bangladeshi citizen who was 57 years old and was suffering from chronic diseases.

As health authorities in the country continue to implement the highest level of monitoring, detection, and management procedures to deal with the virus, the public has been advised to follow certain measures to safeguard their health.

This includes washing your hands often, using hand sanitizers, and keeping a distance of at least one meter (3 feet) from people who have symptoms of illness.

MoPH also advises citizens and residents to use a sleeve to cover the nose and mouth while coughing and sneezing in public or to use tissue paper and dispose it appropriately.
