HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al Thani, the Minister of Culture toured the grounds of Darb Al Saai to anticipate the preparations for the upcoming Qatar National Day 2022 celebrations. The QND celebrations this year are expected to host nearly 190 events for the public. The briefing was attended by important officials including media personnel.

Darb Al Saai, which is the permanent and largest venue for hosting Qatar National Day is located and Umm Salal Mouhammed and covers a sprawling area of 150,000 sq.m.
With nearly a month to go until December 18, the Qatar National Day 2022 celebrations this year are meant to be grander than usual with the culmination of the national holiday occurring right at the end of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™. For this year, the Ministry of Culture had earlier announced that the celebrations will continue from November 25 until December 18, and will feature 4,500 activities spread over 24 days. This will be now spread across 190 events in the 24 day celebrations.

The Minister of Culture also inspected the pavilions, work on main facililties, and the access route to the venue at Darb Al Saai. The Qatar National Day celebrations this year are touted to include multiple activities and events including games, sports activities, cultural events, poetry readings, theatrical performances and so much more. The event is intended to give fans and visitors insights on Qatari heritage and culture and also add to the spirit of the World Cup.
