Doha Metro has stated that only Standard Class carriages would be available for use to the public, beginning on November 11, 2022.

There will be temporary discontinuation of the Gold and Family Class up to December 22, 2022. As the FIFA 2022 World Cup will be held in Qatar, this measure is being taken to increase train capacity for the event.
Every day of the week except Friday, when service will begin at 9 am, the whole fleet of Metro trains and trams will be in operation from 6 am to 3 am. This includes 37 metro stations and 7 tram stations.
