The Department of Haj and Umrah Affairs at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs has stated that registration for citizens wishing to perform Hajj for the year 1443 AH would begin on Wednesday, April 27 2022 and continue until May 12, 2022.
Candidates must be at least 18 years old and no older than 65 years old, and they must have had the basic doses of COVID-19 vaccine, as per the requirements.
Hajj is Islam's fifth pillar, and it is a once-in-a-lifetime requirement for every Muslim who has reached puberty and is physically and financially capable of executing it.

The Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs attended the 'Transformation Towards Innovation' Haj and Umrah Services Conference and Exhibition in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, on March 21-23, 2022. He said that the conference aimed to introduce the transformation programs for innovation, which is a platform for thinkers, innovators, and entrepreneurs. This will be to receive creative ideas and visions for Haj and Umrah programs, through an electronic incubator platform that contributes to facilitating pilgrims' affairs through the use of innovative technical means, as well as an exhibition on the services related to Haj and Umrah.
