Conditions are likely to become favorable for moderate to heavy rain and the thunderstorms may also be accompanied by hail in some areas, according to the weather office as reported by Gulf Times.
In a report earlier on Thursday, the Met department said, “unsettled weather conditions are expected to continue affecting the country during the weekend due to the extension of a low-pressure system."

In the case of heavy, thundery rains, Qatar’s Civil Aviation Authority (CIA) has once again warned residents of possible hazards that may appear in the form of poor or low visibility, strong winds, hail and lightning.
CIA advises individuals to take extra care by staying indoors during thunderstorms, steer clear of open water, keep all windows closed in case inside a car, and avoid standing near electricity poles, tall trees or on roofs.
