His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al Thani graced the 12th edition of the Education Excellence Award ceremony held in Doha yesterday to present awards to students with outstanding academic performance.
HH the Amir congratulated the students and acknowledged their parents and teachers for supporting them to achieve the remarkable success.
He further encouraged students to keep up their extraordinary dedication to excel in their studies and become self-reliant in order to serve the society and the country, reported Qatar Tribune.
The winners were elated to have received the awards from HH the Amir, who serves as a role model particularly for the youth of the nation. They expressed utmost gratitude to the leader for his continued support and encouragement.
As Qatar continues to excel in education, building world-class facilities and enhancing the overall experience of academic learning, the ceremony recognizes and gives confidence to exceptional students who have consistently performed above and beyond in their educational settings.

The ceremony convened a number of Sheikhs, ministers, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to the State, senior education officials and parents of the students in addition to some researchers, according to the Gulf Times.
HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr Mohamed Bin Abdulwahed Al Hammadi also congratulated the students, their parents, schools and teachers at the ceremony, praising the country’s leadership to ensure excellence in education.
Al Hammadi said Qatar has spared no effort in caring for its students by providing them with academic opportunities, choices and advantages at home and abroad.
Winner of the Excellence Award, Hamad Ali Al Korbi shared his immense delight at receiving the coveted award, noting that it was a great day for all the winners who worked diligently for the moment of recognition and to be honored to shake hands with HH the Amir.
Winning the award, which is the most prestigious academic and scientific award in Qatar, was not easy at all. It represents a strong incentive for scholars to excel and contribute to Qatar's progress.
A film about the march of excellence for the outstanding winners of the 2019 award in various categories and their future aspirations to serve their country was screened during the ceremony.
