Karnataka Sangha Qatar (KSQ) organized the annual blood donation camp on Friday, 9th October from 08:00 to 12:00 at Hamad blood donation centre. Approximately 50 packets of blood were collected from eligible and healthy donors.

All members followed the COVID-19 precautionary measures and maintained social distancing during the event.

Dr. Ramya Nanjappa, Specialist Obstetrician and Gynaecologist at Womens’s Wellness and Research centre, addressed the gathering and shared valuable information on the importance of blood donation and pre-requisites to be a blood donor.

According to Dr. Ramya, the blood collected will help save many lives and will be transfused to the needy. She was also gifted with a sapling as a sign of appreciation by the KSQ.

Mr. S. Xavier Dhanaraj, First Secretary of the Indian Embassy, conveyed his best wishes to the noble service of KSQ for the benefit of society in Qatar.

The president of KSQ, Mr. Nagesh Rao, welcomed the Presidents, Leaders and representatives of other Karnataka based associations and spoke about the greatness of Blood donation.

The formal event concluded by thanking all blood donors, staff of Hamad Blood Donation Centre and Mr. Subramanya Hebbagelu for coordinating the event on behalf of KSQ and other association leaders present.
