To make it easy for citizens to find job opportunities suited to their qualifications, the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor, and Social Affairs (MADLSA) yesterday launched the national employment platform, Kawader.

The platform will be available to job seekers for registration from Monday, August 24, 2020, and 4,800 jobs will be offered in state-owned entities starting September.

The jobs will be offered in various specialties that cover a wide range of qualifications.

On the occasion, His Excellency the Minister of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs Yousuf Mohamed Al Othman Fakhro thanked HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani for his constant support toward efforts aimed at employing national cadres in the government and private sectors, as well as for raising the rates of Qatarization in the private sector to 60 percent.

He also appreciated the PM’s directives to simplify procedures, remove bureaucratic obstacles, and speed up the process of providing all services online.

HE the Minister highlighted that the platform was initiated to serve as a flexible and easy way to help job seekers to find opportunities that match their qualifications and experiences in the government and private sectors.

The purpose is also to link job nominations with the authorities directly to conduct personal interviews, HE the Minister pointed out.

The procedures will be carried out electronically, from starting with the CV creation, registration, selection of the appropriate job, and conducting a personal interview by the body concerned, up until the acceptance and appointment.

The ministry's role through Kawader is to coordinate with the authorities while guiding and counseling job seekers and following up with employers, he added.

From Monday, job seekers will be able to use the platform to register and submit CVs, and next month candidates can view and select suitable jobs.

In its first stage, registration will be for female and male citizens who do not have jobs at present, HE the Minister mentioned.

Those born to Qatari mothers will be nominated for jobs in the private sector, he said.

Citizens wanting to obtain jobs should have completed education in areas compatible with the requirements of the labor market in the country, HE the Minister underlined.

Alternatively, they should join the government scholarship program or professional training programs that qualify them to meet the required specializations in the labor market.
