Qatar has strongly condemned the renewed Iranian attacks on Jordan, Bahrain and Kuwait, describing them as flagrant violations of the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the targeted countries.
In a statement issued on Saturday, the 18th of July 2026, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the attacks also constituted clear breaches of international law, the United Nations Charter and the principles of good neighbourliness.
The ministry said the targeting of electricity generation and water distillation stations in Kuwait crossed every red line and represented a serious violation of UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
It noted that the resolution reaffirmed the importance of respecting the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the affected countries and rejecting attacks against civilians and vital infrastructure.
The ministry warned that the continuation of the attacks represented a dangerous escalation that could complicate efforts to contain tensions and undermine political and diplomatic initiatives aimed at achieving regional security and stability.
Qatar called for an immediate and complete halt to all military actions and attacks that threaten the security and stability of the region.
It also urged all parties to refrain from actions that could widen the escalation, return seriously to dialogue and negotiations, and respect the understandings reached through diplomatic efforts.
